To test if flattery impacts individuals' self-assessment on tasks, I recruit a sample of college students to take a short set of SAT questions. I randomly assign ½ of the participants into one room and another ½ into a second room. For the first stage of the study, I have all the students take a set of SAT questions and then assess how well they think they did. I then have them answer a second round of SAT questions. After the students answer the second round of SAT questions they are told to, again, assess how well they did. However, before the second assessment the students in the one of the rooms are also told, in an off the cuff way by a research assistance how smart they all look. For my analysis, I compare the difference between the first and second assessment across the two groups (the difference-in-differences). Based on this description, my experiment is a:
