Blue-striped snappers are host to two types of parasite, A and B. Samples of fish were caught each year for eight years. They were examined to identify whether they were carrying either parasite and an assessment of their overall health was made. Their overall health was expressed as a ‘health index’ where a higher number indicates poor health.
